We are fortunate to live on land that adjoins a huge bushland reserve (on two sides) in Sydney, Australia.  As we have only one neighbour, the views are fantastic.  So is the wild life that abounds here.
There are kookaburras, crimson rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, sulphur crested cockatoos, galahs, crested pigeons, red browed finches, currawongs, blue wrens, magpies, crows, doves, honey eaters plus many more bird species.
After living in USA for 11+ years, we were really looking forward to returning to our home in Sydney. On the day we moved back into our house, five kookaburras landed on our deck railing.
An incredible welcome.
Animals and reptiles include possums (ring tail and brush tail), echidnas, blue-tongue lizards,
Eastern Water Dragons and many varieties of snakes.  The deadly Sydney funnel-web spider
is occasionally found in our swimming pool.
I began this web site in America in early 1999.  I missed the Australian wildlife and the bush.
It helped.
The site now contains almost 80 pages and includes an Awards Program.
