Blue-Tongue Lizard
Photos taken in our backyard Sydney, Australia.  It's winter here now and it's catching the sun.

It's about 14" long [35 cm] so we think it's a young one.  Its tongue is a sky blue colour, not dark blue.  Amazingly tame.
It crawled out of a garden, walked across and in front of my husband
[about 12" from his feet] then along the grass, climbed up a rock and onto the leaf litter.
Incredibly, it stayed there while my husband got the camera.
Pity we didn't get a photo with its tongue out.  Maybe next time.
