January 27, 2006. This delightful creature appeared in our swimming pool area a few weeks ago. |

He's taken up residence under a large rock situated two metres to the left of the area shown here. |
He's about 23 inches long [37cm]. He likes swimming in the pool and propels through the water using his tail. |
He's been joining the kookaburras and our little Chihuahua daily for an afternoon snack. It's an amazing scene. They all get along very well. |
April 15, 2006. As we haven't seen him for 5 days, we suspect he's hibernating. |
August 28, 2006. He's back! Was sunning himself on the edge of the pool at noon today. |
April, 2007. Sadly, we never saw him again. He probably went searching for a mate in the huge bushland reserve that adjoins our property. |
